Work Experience
Embedded R&D Developer Contract @ Adara Systems Ltd.
Feb. 2025 - Jul. 2025
- Led the embedded and electrical design of a low voltage chalk detection probe capable of sending data from at least 300 feet down in the ground. Now in the prototype phase, it is undergoing field testing at four sites: in Canada, the US, the UK and Chile.
- Created MATLAB applications utilizing proprietary algorithms to speed up the cone calibration process, saving >5 minutes for every cone.
- Implemented an Excel macro for repair technicians to use to automatically determine which parts must be replaced, which saves the data and creates a message to send to the client. This saves over 30 minutes of determining and tracking the justification of a part replacement.
- Designed a “course-like” project for two colleagues to learn embedded systems – creating a system that uses BLE communication to transmit data rather than through cables. Being in the proof-of-concept stage now, it is projected to reduce CPT set up time by 10+ minutes.
- Tested the functionality of cone modules’ sensors and ensure that the mechanical structure of cones satisfies ASTM standards.
- Repaired the cone modules by replacing sensors and making solder adjustments on the inner PCB.
Seasonal Store Sales Associate @ Levi Strauss & Co.
Nov. 2024 - Jan. 2025
Project Management Co-op @ Arlo Technologies Canada
Sep. 2023 - Dec. 2023
- Communicated with internal teams to manage the launch of Arlo’s Multi-Sensor V2 & Hub V2 in weekly meetings and Jira – also coordinated with external contractors. As of the launch of these products, thousands of these units have been sold.
- Resolved issues of false positives of smoke & carbon monoxide alarm detection in the Multi-Sensor V2 through collaborating with firmware and hardware teams to develop more robust detection logic.
- Delivered comprehensive data analyses through well thought-out test plans and proposed software and hardware revisions to the Project Management and SW/HW teams. This process was adopted for three projects which successfully moved forward.
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Co-op @ Conetec Investigations Inc.
Jan. 2021 - Dec. 2021
- Led the development and enhancement of Conetec’s iBPT system - now being used in two trailers, each generating thousands of dollars per job. Utilizing amplifiers, low-pass filters and National Instruments DAQs interfaced with custom LabVIEW software for the iBPT DAS.
- Created detailed documentation, test plans, and training materials using Confluence to make further development and production efficient.
- Looked into several different methods of generating coefficients for the development of Conetec’s Resistivity probe – implemented a MATLAB program that improved sensor accuracy from having 5% to <0.3% relative error, satisfying the ASTM B193-20 standard.
Line Cook @ Earls Kitchen + Bar Richmond
Jul. 2018 - Dec. 2020
- Improved communication skills by utilizing teamwork to get through rushes.
- Leadership skills used to lead the appetizers team to effectively manage time and orders.

My Goals
I have many goals that I want to get done within the next year:
- Get a full-time job!
- Make a simple online multiplayer game.
- Finish a project using artificial intelligence in a practical way.
- More and more side projects.
- Finish the Gran Fondo @ Whistler in under 5 hours.
- Do a backflip on a snowboard.
My Interests
When I am in focus mode, I love working on embedded projects as making many sub-systems come together to create one great system is so satisfying.
In my free time, I love to go outside to go cycling or go snowboarding. If I feel like staying inside, I'll be
watching/reading
One Piece or playing video games.
